Transcript by Newsy: www.youtube.com (Image: Forbes) By Evan Thomas and Allyson Brown Anchor Megan Murphy Trouble is brewing at internet giant Yahoo. A Yahoo minority investor, Dan Loeb and his investment company, Third Point are invoking the law in their investigation into Yahoo CEO Scott Thompsons background — and asking for Yahoos records. The trouble stems from Thompson listing a degree he never earned on his resume — but still being hired by the company. All Things Digital has Third Points press release: "Third Point demands under Section 220(b) of the Delaware General Corporation Law to inspect books and records relating to the hiring of CEO Scott Thompson, the appointment of Patti Hart to the Yahoo! Board, and the selection of Board Members…" Third Points reason for all this is to find out whether Thompson intentionally lied … and why the higher ups at Yahoo didnt fact check. "Theyre really all about how Scott Thompson was picked, what he said about himself, what directors asked about him, and then how the company evaluated that information." But some believe Loebs attention stems from a personal vendetta. Loeb has repeatedly demanded representation on the board. And PCWorld says this is another case of Yahoos chronic problem — board infighting. "Gee, a high-tech CEO brought down by a disgruntled board member — where have I heard that before? Oh yeah — at Yahoo, about a half-dozen times now. That story is familiar to anyone whos followed Yahoos …

Dementia Cases May Triple by 2050 as World Ages
This is the VOA Special English Health Report, from voaspecialenglish.com | http Dementia is the loss of mental abilities caused by brain disorders that affect memory, thinking, behavior and judgment. The most common cause of dementia, especially in older people, is Alzheimers disease. It causes up to seventy percent of dementia cases. Worldwide an estimated thirty-six million people are living with dementia. A new report predicts that number will increase to more than one hundred fifteen million by twenty-fifty. The report is from the World Health Organization and Alzheimers Disease International. The number of cases in the heavily populated developing world is expected to grow as more people live longer. The report says more than half of those with dementia now live in low- and middle-income countries. This number is likely to rise to more than seventy percent by twenty-fifty. People are living longer because of better health care and increasing wealth. But the report says dementia is not a normal part of growing old. Shekhar Saxena is the director of mental health and substance abuse research at the WHO. He says dementia is often not recognized. It is commonly mistaken for an age-related decline in functioning because it can mimic age-related problems, and also it progresses slowly. Even in high-income countries, only one-fifth to one-half of the cases of dementia are routinely recognized. This percentage is much lower in middle and low-income countries. Martin …
Freedom Flame 2012: Attorney General Mukasey
TRANSCRIPT: First, I want to thank my good friend Andy McCarthy for that [UNCLEAR] kind, but it should be lavish introduction. And its obvious from that introduction that he is my good friend. I want to thank Frank Gaffney also for his kind words and also for the work that he and the Center for Security Policy do day in and day out, year in and year out, to keep before a sometimes unwilling audience the threats to the security of this country and to present a forum for developing the most effective ways to combat those threats. I would actually describe it as thankless work, but occasionally, it does elicit tributes. One of which was alluded to by Andy. Even though they may be unintentional. About a week ago, a publication as you heard with the sophisticated monitor — moniker, I should say — Salon, [LAUGHTER] included one of these inadvertent tributes to Frank. Salon hosts a variety of left wing bloggers who would otherwise have to look to their own devices in order to get their stuff out. But it included on May 16th a report by Salons foreign policy correspondent to the effect that there was a struggle going on inside the conservative movement for the ear of Mitt Romney on how to deal with the Arab Spring in general and with the Muslim Brotherhood in particular. A struggle between what the authors call, what the author calls the neocons, which includes such people as Senators Lindsay Graham and John McCain. Who, if you really think about it, are neither particularly …
